Petplan Announce Alistair McGowan As Compere For 2010 Veterinary Awards

The Petplan Veterinary Awards which take place every April celebrate top professionals within the veterinary sector in the United Kingdom. This year marks the 11th annual awards and the event will be hosted in Birmingham as part of the BSAVA congress.

McGowen follows in the footsteps of previous compere such as Michel McIntyre, Jason Manford and Frankie Boyle, who have all been honoured guests at the event in previous years.
McGowen is best known for his comedy show “the Big Impression” which, for a number of years, was the top rated comedy program in the BBC, winning McGowen a BAFTA in 2003.

Over 1,800 nominations have been sent into the organizers of the event, with popular categories including vet of the year, receptionist of the year and practice of the year.
